Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. There are more than 200 shrines in Kedarnath that are dedicated to the trinity, Lord Shiva. Since Kedarnath is nestled in the scenic vistas of the Garhwal region, it offers unobstructed views of the snow-capped peaks, the dense woods and the serene trails besieged by the rosy rhododendrons. One can savour the glorious view of the Kedarnath peak at 6,940 metres and Kedar Dome at 6,831 metres standing behind the quaint town of Kedarnath.
